5/6MG - Sacraments of Initiation

Ms Maryanne

In Religious Education, 5/6MG have been learning about the Sacraments of Initiation, particularly Baptism. Students have been exploring what Baptism is and the traditions that are included.

During Remote Learning, students investigated Baptism by researching responses to the 5Ws prompt questions. This included outlining what Baptisms look like, but also the importance of the Sacrament of Initiation.

Students in 5/6MG came up with thoughtful responses and also paired relevant images to their work.

Prytha’s work

Adelia reflected on the activity.

There were many rich discussions around these ideas and many students pointed out that Baptisms can look very different in various sectors of the church. Some students also shared their own personal Baptism stories.
