5/6JC Literacy Newsletter - W4 T3

5/6JC have had a lot of fun learning about procedural texts! We have looked at the many different types such as a recipe for cooking, instructions for a game and a science experiment to follow. After learning the structure and correct subheadings such as ingredients, equipment/materials and method, 5/6JC got creative and each student designed their own board game. They put a twist or a new rule on a game they already knew and thoroughly explained the instructions of how to play. In addition to our class time, each student video recorded themselves making a family recipe at home and talked us through the procedural steps. Their filming and editing skills are very impressive as you can see from these videos shared today, as well as their kitchen skills! Enjoy following along to these tasty recipes!
