Plan for Covid Lockdown
When Trinity returns to online learning we will implement the following plan (subject to change and adjustment)
- If late or no advance notice of a lockdown is given, remote learning will begin at 11am on the first day to allow staff planning time for the remainder of the lockdown.
- On day 1 Teachers will post 1 literacy learning activity and 1 Numeracy Learning Activity for students to compete independently.
- If the first day of lockdown falls on a specialist day the specialists will post an activity for their classes.
- A timetable of scheduled learning will be communicated to families ready for the first full day
- Each day (other than day 1) will begin with a Google Meet at 9am and finish with a Meet at 1:25pm beginning with a prayer
- morning meet: protocols, prayer, roll, checkin, timetable for the day
- online protocols: not in/on your bed, dressed appropriately, mute if not speaking, cameras on, check background
- LSO’s will be timetabled to support learning online
- LSO’s will take small groups for reading support
- Google Hangouts will be used for feedback, questioning and clarifying (Not to be used by students outside of school hours)
- Google Classroom will be used for Years 2-6. Seesaw for Years Prep-1
- Online learning will occur between 9am-1:30pm with a break from 11:00-11:30am.
- Offline activities will be suggested for the afternoons
- As much as practical the normal classroom program based on the Vic Curriculum will be followed ie Smart Spelling, Literacy (Reading and Writing), Numeracy, RE.
- Teachers will be required to give timely feedback to students on any work that has been uploaded
- Specialists will operate as per normal timetable (as much as practical)
- Families who require IT (laptops/iPads or internet access) will be supported by the school- families/teachers need to notify Lindy/Antonella
