Snowboarding Camps

Snow Camp

Wow, what an amazing 2 weeks at Mt Buller! Mt Buller had reported that they had a dumping of snow early on to kick start the season and another large dumping of snow the week before the second comp were to arrive. There were 2 separate camp groups that set out to tame the slopes of Mt Buller and stayed at the College’s camp site at Tolmie. Camp 1 was a mix of both year 8 and 9’s and Camp 2 was a mixed group of year 10, 11 and 12’s.

The first camps weather was fantastic with the sun shining each day and a good cover of snow. The second camp had some great snow to start as it had dumped snowed for the previous 4 days. They had mixed weather whilst on mountain, a couple of overcast days and a bluebird day to finish. All students gave it their all and improved their snowboarding skills enormously. Although there was some age differences all students must be commended on friendly behaviour with all of their peers. From all reports, the students and staff had a great time and the rapid improvement made by all was fantastic. We look forward to seeing you all and many more next year!
