Thank you to all those parents who are saving valuable items from their homes and places of work, for the Art room to utilise in its creative thinking activities and room management. This has been much appreciated. I would especially like to thank Yvonne Archard for several hours of ironing for the Prep grades.

I hope by now that you have seen the beautiful metal art sculpture that now sits in the new Prep garden. This sculpture was purchased with the money raised from the Canvas Silent Auction in 2016. This sculpture has been created by Andrew Jasper of ArtFusion in Anderson, Victoria (just at the turnoff to Phillip Island). The sculpture does have a significant story, however, children right across the school are using their curiosity to interpret it for themselves. We hope that it is also creating interesting conversations between you and your children.

The Grade Five/Six students have been hard at work striving for accuracy by creating portraits of new staff members. I think you will agree that the results show great skill. Most students felt that their ability to look at finer details had improved.
