Year 7 Camp

Last Wednesday 179 excited Year 7 students and 14 staff members headed off to Woodman Point Recreation Camp for the annual Year 7 Camp. Everyone who went enjoyed a wonderful three days of activities such as climbing the vertical challenge, search and rescue and designing their own boomerangs. There was also welcome relief from the heat with a couple of refreshing swims in the ocean.

A highlight of the camp was Mass, celebrated by Fr Rodrigo, on the beach. The cohort returned on Friday afternoon more than a little tired, but also aware of having faced some personal challenges and having straightened friendships that will last their time at John XXIII College and beyond. Thank you to all involved in making this camp such a wonderful experience.
