Year 12

A Farewell to Year 12

Year 12 are often thought of as the humanitarians of the school due to their extensive involvement in charity fundraisers, mental health awareness and knowledge of current affairs. They have contributed a wide variety of skills and talent towards Guyra Central School over the years including: live music at school discos, art murals, representative touch football and soccer, debating, writing competitions, science and engineering competitions and mathematics competitions. 

They had an extremely eventful Year 10 excursion in 2016 being dubbed the best school group to ever visit the Jewish Holocaust Museum and also have their train break down on the way home for 5 hours in 38 degree heat.

Year 12 are most certainly going to have a diverse and exciting future, with many already been accepted into universities and trades. Some students have indicated that they are going to go into the following fields: Defence Force, Linguistics, Teaching, Landscaping, Agricultural Engineering, Farming, Nursing, Business, Carpentry and Hairdressing. 

We wish Year 12 2018 an exciting, healthy and happy future full of new learning experiences and hope that they keep in touch!

YEAR 12 FAREWELL BREAKFAST

Both our Primary and Secondary department along with family and friends united on Friday 28th September 2018 to honour our departing Year 12 students at Guyra Central Schools Valedictory Assembly. Respectively, Guyra Central school would like to wish each of departing Year 12 student 

Respectively, Guyra Central School would like to  wish each of our departing Year 12 students every success in their upcoming HSC exams and  in the pursuit of each of their dreams and goals.

Each year our Year 12 students present the 'Positive Recognition Shield'  to a secondary student in 7-10, this years award recipient is Colleen Pearson.  Colleen has been presented this award in recognition of her significant contributions to our School community and for Colleens positive attitude towards learning.
