(GIRLS) Shipard Shield

Kildare participated in the recent Combined Wagga School’s Shipard Shield Football competition.

Due to match cancellations as a result of inclement weather, Kildare played their three games on the one night.  The last game of the night, in freezing conditions, was the most entertaining of all of the games played. The game was played in a competitive and good natured spirit by both teams flowing from goal to goal. Kildare opened the scoring with a goal from Millie Gentle.  Mt Austin High equalised and then took the lead 2-1. Jacinta Cooper equalised for Kildare before again Mt Austin High taking the lead 3-2. This continued with Kildare equalising and Mt Austin taking the lead until the final whistle and Kildare and Mt Austin High had drawn 5 all. Millie Gentle scored  Kildare’s last 3 goals.

Congratulations to all of the Kildare players; Millie Gentle, Chloe Piltz, Hayden Haines, Gabby King, Jenjarra Hookey, Jacinta Cooper, Lauren Carroll, Charlotte McIntyre, Jess Barclay, Isabelle Toohey, Kitaya Clarke, Sarah Vickers and Meg Emery.

Results for the other two games :
