Curriculum Matters

Year 9 and 11 subject lines for next year are nearly finalised. Once students have been allocated subjects, they will then be able to speak to me if any issues arise. Please note lines and class sizes may restrict choices.
Thanks to parents and teachers who have engaged in conversations supporting students throughout the subject selection process. It is important to use opportunities such as these to plan for future student engagement and success.
Year 11 have their Preliminary HSC Examinations starting next week. It is important for students to familarise themselves with the exam rules and timetable. Please note that students are only required at school when they have an exam and classes resume on Friday 21st September.
By now Year 12 students would have received their HSC Trial Examination results. It is important for students to take on board the constructive feedback provided by teachers and to reflect on what positive action they can take before their exams in October.
HSC results for 2018 will be sent to students via email on Thursday 13th December. Please read the following NESA letter to HSC students for up to date information and timelines. Students will also be able to access their results at the same time via Students Online.
It is important NESA has accurate student contact details. Students should log into Students Online and check that their email addresses and mobile phone numbers are correct. As students will have left Kildare at the time their HSC results are released, if a school email address is recorded students should change it to a personal email address.
In January 2018 eligible students will receive their HSC testamur in the post. They will also be able to download the testamur via their Students Online account.
Finally, the 2018 Year 12 HSC final Mass and Awards evening will be held on Thursday 27th September.
