Cochrane Cup

On the 29th September the Kildare Cochrane Cup side played in the grand final against St Joseph's Lochinvar. They got off to a good start by scoring the first try but then fell into a rut and by half time the score was 20 - 6 St Joseph's way. The boys went out in the second half with more energy and got the score back to 16 - 20, but then let St Joseph's scored again which then gave them the win. The final score was 26 - 16.
It was a great achievement for the boys to be runners up (second in the state of NSW) in the Under 14s Cochrane Cup. I was extremely proud of the boys' efforts throughout the whole tournament.
I would like to thank the school for letting me coach the side and would also like to thank anyone who has helped in any way, plus a big thank you to the parents who travelled to support the boys.
To the Kildare Cochrane Cup team, thank you for such a great experience and hope we can go one better next year.
