Year 9 Playgroup Studies

Year 9 Child Studies students have been investigating how play-based learning environments can encourage children to explore, improvise, imagine, solve problems and be challenged physically. On Wednesday 5th September, students put their knowledge and understanding into practice by hosting their first of two playgroup sessions. It was a huge success with a record number of children attending (61 in total). Students organised a range of fun activities including dancing, balloon volleyball, making maracas, decorating masks, boat races, painting, creating playdough creatures, solving puzzles, building towers, making pet rocks and erupting a mini volcano. Students are to be commended for their planning and organisation, as well as their positive interaction with the children. We would like to thank all the parents and carers who attended. Our final playgroup will be held on Tuesday 25th September, 9:30am to 11am, all welcome.
