WELLBEING
Embodied Parenting Workshop
A huge thank-you to all of the parents who came to our embodied parenting workshop. The morning was insightful and anyone who came walked away with a number of new tools to assist in tackling the day to day challenges that we are faced with not only through our children but also through our own times of frustration as parents. Thank-you to Maureen F for organising Mamon and Michelle T for organising the coffee car for us all to have coffee and hot chocolates before hand.
Drawing and Colouring Club
Over the last few weeks Billie B one of our Wellbeing Leaders and I have been introducing students to the drawing and colouring club. Billie is doing a fabulous job of making everyone feel welcome and organising equipment before hand. The club runs at recess usually on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and certain year levels are invited on different days. Last week was free drawing and colouring. This week we have been focusing on creating posters for our club.
Ok so many of you have possibly heard, seen or been apart of the tiktok rage. If you are not sure what I am referring to Tik Tok is an app very popular at the moment amongst our tweens. Through this app users can learn dance moves and then post the video of themselves online. Basically children are now answering their parents or moving around the house with these dance moves! If your child is using TikTok please be aware of the dangers of this app and what your children are posting or even being exposed to. I was recently appalled to find out that there is a “challenges” part to this app. Please see the article below for more information.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
LENT
This year we hope to raise over $1,000 which can provide educational resources and teacher assistance to those less fortunate than us. Each classroom has a Project Compassion box and a visual tally will be placed in the front foyer and updated weekly to track how we are going. This year we want to give 100% to Lent and raise as much as we can to support an important organisation that supports local and global communities.
