Year 5 - Earn and Learn

Earn and Learn was really fun. We got to sell our products and services. I had a business with Madeleine and we sold truffles. Lots of people brought our truffles and lemonade. I was the resource Minister, I got $576 a week and people without government jobs didn't have very much money.

Thank you to our School Banking team

We would like to thank Barb, who shared our School Banking Co-ordinator job this year. She finished up a few weeks ago and did a great job. We also acknowledge our fantastic School Banking Team of Michelle, May, Ophelia, Lisa and Ellisa. Thank you for your great work.  Our School Banking volunteers are vital in helping teach students the importance of saving regularly.

WE HAVE BEEN HAVING A LOT OF FUN AT OSHC THIS WEEK.....

This week we are congratulating two fantastic OSHC students Jake Reddie and Jewel Jackson for receiving ‘Star of the Week.’ Jake is in most ASC days and enjoys building Lego and playing with Minecraft paper craft. We love his calm nature and friendly attitude towards staff and other children. Jewel is in most BSC days and enjoys making arts and crafts. We love her constant smiles and excitement to participate in all activities! Well done!!!

Last week our theme was Bugs. We had lots of fun learning about the life cycle of a Caterpillar and worked in small groups and pairs to turn ourselves into a cocoon as a team building activity. We also had fun designing a caterpillar out of paper, pipe cleaners and tape to display around the room. Outside we played all different types of sports and have been enjoying the sunshine!

We have an exciting new sports development program for the older students to mentor the younger students to learn about coaching, umpiring, scoring and team work. We aim to get this up and running within the next few weeks where the children will get to choose the sports and decide on the activities.

We have reduced our movie watching and spend our afternoons working on our social, emotional and physical skills. Please contact Sammy and the team on 0415 185 362 if you have any further questions about BSC or ASC.
