Interview with Mrs Kate Boston

Year 6 Teacher

How long have you worked at BNPS? 

2022 is my 8th year of teaching at BNPS. 

Who  inspires you?  

Anyone who is kind, stands up for what they believe in and isn’t afraid to be themselves. 

What is your favourite thing to do on the weekends?

My favourite weekend would be balanced with all the things I love. Family time, a walk on the beach, a pilates/yoga class and a catch up with friends. 

Are you an early bird or a night owl?  

Neither. I go to bed early and love a sleep in (when I can get one!).

What might someone be surprised to know about you?

Growing up I did a lot of dancing and at the age of 10, I was in a musical with Isla Fisher – Summer Holiday. 

What recently made you smile?

My 2-year-old daughter dressed in a tutu dancing her heart out to ‘Part of your world’ with her favourite teddy, Foo Foo. 

If you could trade places with anyone for a day, who would you choose ? 

An astronaut! I’d love to go up to space for a day and see the world and the universe from a completely different perspective. 

What would you like to say to your students?

This is your last year of primary school so make the most of every opportunity, give everything a go and, most importantly, be kind to your peers.
