A New Face in Cabinet!  

Congratulations to Nick Street on his elevation to the Tasmanian Liberal Government ministry following the recent retirement of Sarah Courtney.  

Nick attended St Virgil’s College from 1991-94 and has enjoyed a successful career in politics. He has become Minister for Sport & Recreation; Community Services & Development;  Heritage; Science & Technology.

Nick was first elected to the House of Assembly in 2016 and has served as the Deputy Speaker of that House. He has also been a small business ministerial advisor.

Nick has previously served at the local government level as a Kingborough councillor, whilst also operating a small business and being an active member of the a range of community sporting organisations.
