Harmony Week

 15-21 March

Everyone Belongs

In the past, each school has celebrated Harmony Day. It has always been an important date in school calendars. This year, as we have moved onto our new site, we are preparing to celebrate Harmony Week and the theme “Everybody Belongs” with a variety of activities including, music, films, food, dances, and sport that will take place throughout the week, at lunchtime and recess.

On Wednesday 16th March, students are encouraged to dress in traditional clothes from their own culture, or in orange which is the colour of Harmony Day. Our Harmony Day Concert is a whole-school event which will take place in session five on that Wednesday, and will include student's performing multicultural dances and songs.

We are also extremely lucky to have Isaiah Firebrace, winner X Factor 2016, as our guest star for the last day of Harmony Week, Monday 21st March. Isaiah will hold a workshop with some of our students to talk to them about his challenges and experiences on his way to stardom. At lunchtime he will perform in the central courtyard, for the whole school.
