Cross-Aged Tutoring

This semester the Cross-Aged Tutoring class have started the application process to be mentors at a local primary school. We have reached out to Bourchier Street Primary School to develop and run the program in Term 2.

To start the process, students have written a professional letter to the Bourchier Street Principal, Denise Howley, outlining their skills, qualities and leadership attributes. This letter was planned, drafted, revised, edited and reviewed before it was sent to both Denise Howley and our Executive Principal, Barbara O’Brien. 

Students have received a written response from both and are excited to visit Bourchier Street Primary School to complete activities with the students. 

We are about to commence our next topic, having students reflect on their own childhood memories, in order to better engage with junior students.
