Riley Flowers is currently doing SWL at Westar Trucks in Campbellfield.
Riley is working as a heavy vehicle technician which entails supporting the fully qualified technicians and assisting in servicing and repairing trucks. Riley has been enjoying his time there and is hopeful it may lead to an apprenticeship in the future. Riley began his passion for mechanics with his grandfather and then chose automotive as his VET subject.
Aiden Doria
Aiden is currently working at an amazing automotive workplace called Lakeside Automotive. Aiden assists the technicians doing any maintenance and servicing of vehicles. What makes this workplace so special is that they do a lot of work on muscle cars and a lot of older cars. Most of the cars are owned by collectors and are in mint condition, it is a real privilege to be able to work on them.
Aiden is enjoying his time there and also taking part in the drag racing that the owners do in their spare time. Aiden was lucky enough to go with his father and the employer to Mildura to take part in and help with the actual racing. This would have to be every car person's dream. Aiden is studying automotive as a VET subject, and now having done some time in the workplace would really like to start his career as an automotive technician doing a school based apprenticeship.
This was Paul’s first day of his Headstart school based apprenticeship in Certificate 3 in Cabinetmaking.
