Top Class Dance

Melbourne Recital Centre

On Wednesday 16th March, dance students from Years 9-12 attended the 'Top Class Dance' performances in the city at the Melbourne Recital Centre. Top Class presents the highest scoring students from VCE Dance from the previous year. The young people performing were from various high schools and dance institutions across Victoria, and their routines were incredible and inspiring! Our students watched in awe of the talent being presented to them on stage, taking note of how to improve their own dance and performance skills.

Prior to each solo, Cheryl Kaloger Brown (VCE Dance chief assessor) detailed why that student had scored highly, describing which elements had been used well throughout each routine. This excursion was greatly enjoyable and successful, especially for our Year 12 Dance student Megane (pictured), as she is currently working through the demands of creating her first solo for VCE Dance. A big thank you to all students who attended on the day, for behaving beautifully and respectfully, demonstrating core values of Reservoir High School. A special thank you to Daniel Price (staff) who was incredibly helpful on the day.
