ATHLETICS

The 108th ACC Athletics Carnival took place yesterday at Lakeside Stadium. While we find ourselves in Division 2, the difference between both divisions is very small, with 3 of the 6 new records being broken by a Division 2 school. We also highlight Louis Salopek breaking the Under 13 1500m record, unfortunately he was beaten by a Whitefriars College competitor who is the new record holder. We look forward to the battle between the two in the years to come.

The highlight of the day is the Under 13 and 14 Age Champion Winners, who combined to win the Junior Cup. Updated results will be in next week’s newsletter.

SWIMMING

Now that athletics has concluded we turn our attention to our preparation to the ACC Swimming Carnival. Training will commence Monday 29th February 2022.

The full schedule can be seen here:

A reminder to all the parents and students that as part of your enrolment to Mazenod College you are committed to representing the College in any sport you participate in outside of the school. That is to say that if you are playing local football, soccer, tennis, cricket etc., you are expected to make yourself available to play in the ACC competition.
