Buongiorno a tutti (hello everyone),

 

We have had a great term learning songs and many new words this term:                                              

Foundation students have listened to a story about Pinocchio, (Ecco Pinocchio!) learnt to count to 5 in Italian, learnt a song about body parts and a good morning song. They have also learnt the language associated with greetings and listened to an Easter story called ‘La Colomba’ (The dove). 

 

Year 1 and 2 students learnt about family members and a cockatoo, they listened to a story called Il Pappagallo (The cockatoo).  They did a short puppet play about the cockatoo. They revised the language associated with greetings and they listened to an Easter story called ‘La Colomba’ (The dove).

 

Year 3 and 4 students listened to a story about a mouse (Aiuto! Un topo!) Help! A mouse!, they learnt about family members and learnt a dance called ‘ La Tarantella’. They revised the language associated with greetings and listened to an Easter story called ‘La Sorpresa’ (The surprise).

 

Year 5/6 students learnt about the Italian festival, Carnevale, revised numbers, months of the year and days of the week. They revised the language associated with greetings and listened to an Easter story called ‘Fra Martino’ (Brother Martin).

 

Buona Pasqua e Buona vacanza (Happy Easter and Happy holidays) to all our families at Greenvale Primary and we look forward to working with your children in term 2.
