Calrossy at the Sydney Royal Easter Show
It was a very different Sydney Royal Easter Show this year for the Calrossy Cattle Team with a limited number of students and only one Kamilaroi Shorthorn Steer taken to show, Calrossy Toffee bred by J & A Rodd.
Calrossy still celebrated a number of outstanding results in individual Schools' Paraders categories;
- Lara de Jong placed 3rd
- Hannah Thurn placed 2nd
- Emily Scanlon placed 3rd.
- Caitlin Scanlon and Grace Purtle placed 4th.
Mitchell and Emily Taylor competed in the NSW Fruit and Vegetable Young Judges Competition with Emily placing 3rd. A full gallery of photos from the event can be found on The Hub.
Calrossy Equestrian
Calrossy Equestrian students have received some great results from competing during the school holidays. In the Australian Junior Classic Polocrosse events, Both Brigette and Claudia McKemy competed in NSW State sides. Brigitte was in the U15's and received a Best and Fairest and Best Ash award. Pippa Cullen competed in the NSW U13 No 2 side who placed Runners up and she was also awarded the Best Ash award. Ella Hunt played in the U15 pool side who won their division and Molly Cullen was included in the U17 Pool Side who came Runners Up. Meanwhile at the Sydney Royal Easter Show Ella and Olivia Wilson competed and came 3rd in the Team of Fours, 6th in the Pairs and Ella received a 2nd in the Girl Rider division. Olivia came 6th in her Girl Rider division. Olivia and Alex Gostelow also competed in the Showjumping along with Katie Brand and Allyson and Annie Irwin.
