Our refurbishment

Updated Plans and Pictures

It was exciting over the holidays to meet with the directors of Haddarco, as they stepped onsite in preparation for our refurbishment. Ms Mary Craven has been appointed our Project Manager and is doing a wonderful job co-ordinating many aspects of this job. Thank you to the many families who have embraced the project, their positivity is contagious, from the fence going up to the changes in gates and pick up and drop offs.

It was strange sitting in my empty office yesterday meeting with the team and walking around a bare and gutted building.

Please be mindful of the fact that the space outside the front of the school in Westbury St will be a Permitted Workers Area shortly. There will be traffic management occurring as deliveries arrive and vehicles remove rubble etc from school. This means that parking will be of a premium and many of you will need to park in front of the basketball courts in the morning and then on the basketball courts in the afternoon.  I commend the builders on being respectful of our school environment and returning several footballs, basketballs, hats and the odd drink bottle that makes its way to the other side of the fence! If you could let your children know that the teachers cannot collect these items as the main building is no longer ours for the duration of the project.

Mary and I are rapidly learning many building acronyms such as 'Breadcrumbs', 'Tool Box', FIR (Further Information Required) amongst others. In fact we both need to purchase work boots for our next site meeting!
