Girls' Boarding News

A huge welcome back to all our SPC boarders, but arguably most importantly, to our girls!

Coming up to Week 3, it is safe to say we are back in the swing of things and my goodness, isn’t it a busy time. The start of Term 2 meant twenty eight beautiful young women arrived back through the doors of the Girls’ Boarding house to reconnect and form our boarding family once again. I am honoured to be part of the boarding house this term and have been overwhelmed with the attitude and quality of our boarding girls.

Last weekend, the boarders participated in our weekly shopping trip into town, painted like young Picassos and reacquainted themselves with boarding life. With many on leave for the long weekend, the boarders who stayed, enjoyed many outside activities. Hopefully, this weekend is much the same.

A massive thank you to our kitchen, cleaning and maintenance staff who continue to keep our living environment in beautiful condition, we all appreciate you! And a big thank you to Deb and Rachel in the Medical Centre for always looking after our wellbeing.

It’s an exciting time for the Year 8  girls this week as they are off campus on the Year 8 Adventure Expedition. We are looking forward to the stories they bring back with them and the positive learning experiences unearthed on their journey.

This is my first term at SPC, and I am enjoying getting to know the beautiful young ladies in my care. Boarding can provide so many amazing opportunities to young men and women and I look forward to being part of their journey this term.

Ernie and I are incredibly proud and excited to continue the fantastic boarding tradition at SPC this term.
