Choir News

A chorus of St. Peter’s bells peel out through the theatre, images of Adelaide and its iconic cathedral appear larger than life on the masking curtain, before dropping in spectacular fashion to reveal a sea of coloured t-shirts, beaming choristers and the opening number, A City of Music

So began the 2022 Festival of Music concert on Friday 23rd September. Our Lockleys North Festival Choir were among those faces and sang their hearts out to a packed auditorium or parents and families. Our school was represented by Anushree Diwanji, Stella Foster, Caitlyn Strangways, Sofia Gonis, Caitlin Gibson, Juwa Idro, Makayla Martino, Cherrish Shaw, Emily Adam and Pippa Larsen.

During the concert there were a number of guest artists from public primary and secondary schools, other choir items that presented different musical genre, and two pieces that specifically showcased the talents of the orchestra. It was, however, the two final pieces – I got the music and Can you feel it, that raised the roof and sent the audience home with smiles on their faces!

We are so incredibly proud of the way our students conducted themselves on the day and their beautiful singing on the night. It was a spectacular event enjoyed by all who were involved.
