Building Progress Update

It is sad to see Penfold open space being demolished, however it is very exciting that after several years of planning actual site works has finally started. We say farewell to Penfold open space. We look forward to a new building standing in it's place for our current and future students.

The Penfold main building where the year 2 classes are is not part of the building project and therefore remains an active teaching area.

In a short period of time a considerable amount of work has been achieved by Sarah Construction (the building team).

Building Update

Wednesday 14 September 2022 was day one of site works commencing. On this day, perimeter fencing was installed around the entire construction site separating the school.  With this fence line, the school ensured a couple of key points:

  • Continued access to the school grounds via the gate at the corner of Magill and Penfold Roads.
  • Maintaining the two entrance points into Penfold main building area.

Works to Date

  • The last two weeks of term 3 saw soft demolition within Penfold open space.  This included disconnection of services, light demolition of flooring, internal walls, ceilings, etc.

  • Several trees and stumps were removed and ground levelling of the surrounding area.
