Being Well at Magill

Term 4: always action packed, fast paced and a lot of fun. This one is no exception. To date, it has been full of colour and celebration. Sports Day was a huge success: parents on site, the sun shining and a good time had by all. Still to come, we have our IMS concert and end of year concert to look forward to, not to mention year six camp and graduation and many excursions by other year levels.

As the term progresses, you might notice your child is a little more emotional than usual. This is to be expected as they realize their school year or, if in year six, their primary journey is about to end. Reassure them that change, while not always easy, is a normal part of life. You know your child best. Help them to normalise this transition period in their lives and recognise when they need a bit of extra space, tender loving care or down time. Together we will see the year through to its conclusion.

Meanwhile, enjoy the celebrations as they occur. Our most recent one was Diwali, which commenced on Monday. It is the most important religious festival celebrated by followers of Hinduism. It is also commonly referred to as The Festival of Lights.

One of our staff, Sonya Bedi, set up a ‘photo corner’ in the staff room and provided a delicious morning tea of homemade samosas and traditional Indian sweets for staff to sample. Thank you, Sonya, it was a lovely gesture and appreciated by all.

Stay well !
