Sports Day

After two postponements, we were finally able to host our Sports Day for 2022 in week 1 of term 4. The extra late start had built up the anticipation to a new level, and everyone was refreshed after the school holidays. The weather was perfect for the day and was definitely worth the wait. We were also delighted to welcome back parents and families which added to the incredible atmosphere of the day.

The Year 6 Leaders did a fantastic job of getting the day started with our chants and dance warm-up which really set the tone for the day. After that, each class were off doing their morning events and trying to gather points by participating in a variety of athletics and skill-based activities. The buddy events took place after recess, and it was lovely to see the comradery of the older and younger buddies coming together. The day finished with our running events and an extra cheeky Teacher team taking on the Year 6 Leaders in a baton relay.

The day was full of lots of laughter and smiles, and it was fantastic to see excellent teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the day. Congratulations to all students for competing hard for their teams and trying their best. An extra big congratulations to Tolmer, who have been able to continue their winning streak!
