Raise Leadership Program

I had the pleasure of attending the Raise Leadership Program graduation ceremony on Tuesday the 25th of October. The program was run over a 6-month period with experienced mentors working with students in the college. The speeches on the day highlighted the incredible bond that was formed between the mentors and mentees over that period of time including the professional and personal growth of all parties involved in the program. I thank the Raise Foundation for their partnership with the college which has been ongoing now for 6 years.

VET Changes

In 2023, students studying a vocational education and training (VET) subject will have the costs of their VET materials covered by the Victorian Department of Education and Training.

This is part of a revised VET funding model starting next year for Victorian government schools.

The revised model means more students will have access to VET studies as it removes the cost barrier that may prevent students from enrolling in a subject. These changes are part the Victorian government’s Senior Secondary Pathway Reforms.

To find out more about how your child can benefit from the change, please contact the general office on 9463 7300.

VCAA Exams

The VCAA exams commenced with the English exam on Wednesday the 26th of October. This is always a challenging time for the Year 12 students who are finishing off 6 years of secondary schooling. The entire school is wishing them the best of luck with the exam period and hopes they are able to achieve the goals they have set for themselves. The exams conclude in the week commences the 14th of November and we look forward to celebrating the achievements of all students at the Graduation evening on the 15th of December.
