Science & Engineering Challenge
Last week, the Year 9 and 10 students were invited to compete at the Science and Engineering Challenge National Finals in Bendigo. The challenge aims to inspire young Australians to make a difference in the world by choosing a career in Science and Engineering.
As a part of the challenge, students were asked to compete in 8 different STEAM based challenges throughout the day. From building a bridge made from balsa wood, through to creating a hovercraft, students earned points through the use of key transferable skills such as creativity, critical thinking and teamwork.
The students competed against Science specialists from all over Australia. King's came 7th overall. Well done to all students, we are very proud of their efforts. Thanks to the Warrnambool Rotary Club for making this all possible.
