A fantastic reef ambassador program will be launched at SMCC for Term 4. Students are educated on the negative impacts plastic is having on our environment and even the food we eat.

Many local Great Barrier Reef companies are right behind this program understanding the importance what we do in our own back yard can directly effect our other backyard the Reef. One company that we have established a great partnership with is ESTANDA Travel Group who currently run Divers Den and Frankland Island Cruises. They have offered a grand prize for four people to Frankland’s Islands for an all inclusive day to enjoy the pristine reef.

This prize is worth over $500 and will be given to the hard working Year 7 or 8 student in SMCC who collects the most rubbish and/or containers for change in Term 4. Winner announced in Week 8 Term 4.
