ST NICHOLAS ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

Our Athletics Carnival is being held tomorrow at the new TRAC. All details about the carnival are available on the Compass Portal.

The PT&F will be running a canteen on the day.  Orders have now closed on the QKR App but children will be able to purchase a sausage sizzle or chicken kebab on the day.

ST NICHOLAS SCHOOL NETBALL CLUB

Dear Netball Families,

A massive THANK YOU to those who popped in to give a hand putting up pads, getting ice, manning the desk and checking in to see that we were ok or if I needed anything. You know who you are! We are a good sized club and we always get comments on how many volunteers we get! We have one more duty early next term, so please consider helping out then if you have not before.

THANK YOU to the coaches who do their best every single weekend! It is a hard gig to try to keep everything fair and the majority happy.

THANK YOU to the mums, dads, friends, aunts, uncles and grandparents who run around like mad trying to get kids to sport- often at opposite ends of town and at the same time!

THANK YOU to the players who turn up every weekend and try their best, even when it is tough going. Keep smiling, keep trying and keep encouraging your team mates.

Enjoy the next three weekends off!

JAY STONE - ATHLETICS COACHING - CARVED FROM STONE

During this term we were lucky enough to have gained a Sporting Schools Grant for athletics. We had Jay Strong, a coach endorsed by Athletics Australia, come into the school to teach our children different athletics techniques. Jay will be back in Term 3 to help our Diocesan students hone their skills.

Jay would like to extend the following:

"I would like to say how much I have enjoyed my time coaching this term at St Nicholas, and that I am excited to be back for next term.  For any students who achieve the qualifying times in track events at the Athletics Carnival on Friday, I would like to offer them the option of attending track training sessions during the school holidays - free of charge - to help them prepare for the Diocesan Carnival.

Contact me via email: just_glyding2@yahoo.com for more information.

Opportunities for interested athletes to gain extra field event coaching during Term 3, follow the Tamworth Athletics Club Facebook page."

A huge thank you is extended to Jay for his dedication and commitment to our school, our teachers, staff and our students! We appreciate your professionalism, compassion, and commitment to your profession!
