Out Of School Hours Care

OSHC News

PROGRAM WEEK 4 &5

During week 4 the children have begun our new ‘Under the Sea’ focus which has included a variety of activities allowing the children to use and practice their large and fine motor skills. The children have enjoyed being able to use outdoor and recycled materials to add realistic and 3D looks to their craft. A particular favourite was painting their hands and making sea creature out of their hand prints. Please make sure to have a look at all of your children’s masterpieces and take them home.

The sunny afternoons have also enabled the children to participate in soccer games, chasey, practice their gymnastic skills and challenge each other to obstacle courses.

In the following weeks we hope to expand on our ‘Under the Sea’ focus and engage all children in fun and inclusive activities.

Reception Children BSC: I would like to inform you as a part of your child’s transition into school, by week 6 they will be leaving the OSHC service at 8.30am. This will allow your child to gain a sense of independence as they continue to transition into a school routine.

Pupil Free Day: Our OSHC service will be opening on Pupil Free Day Friday 10th of March. For those parents who expressed interest of care for this day, No cancellations will be accepted. The service will be operating from 7-00am-6.00pm and there is still room available if you require care for that day.

LNPS Sport Day: Sports Day will be held on Friday 31st of March. Please be aware that if your child is booked in for this date and you do not require care, a 2 weeks’ notice is required to avoid being charged. Cancellations will not be accepted after the Friday 10th of March week 6.

April Vacation Care Program: is now available from the OSHC room, front office, attached below or online on the LNPS website.  Come and join in the fun, as we still have some spots available for these school holidays. If you wish to attend, be quick so you don’t miss out.

Yearly Permanent Booking Forms 2017: Please make sure you have booked your child/ren into OSHC if you require the service. It is essential that parents, who need care for their children, fill in the yearly permanent booking form which can be collected from the OSHC room, front office or our website.

Active After School: If your child is going to attend an after school activity please notify the service in advanced. If our educators have not been notified by parent/caregiver children will not be allowed to leave the service.

OSHC designated Play Areas: Parents/ Caregivers please keep in mind that the children enrolled in OSHC use the playground, seating area and oval near the goal posts after school. The OSHC staff have a duty of care to students attending our service. The duty of care requires the service and its educators to take the necessary and reasonable steps to ensure safety.

To ensure the duty of care requirements are met parents/children who are not enrolled in OSHC are required to leave the areas mentioned above by 3:30pm.

We thank you for your co-operation with this matter. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to speak to the OSHC Director Maria Morello or a member of the LNPS leadership team.

Thank You

Maria Morello
