School Council News

Week 5   Term 3

Canteen Survey

We have been running the Canteen service through the new provider for just a little over a term. There has been some great feedback however we would like to offer the school community an opportunity to provide some constructive feedback on the service we are currently using and also feedback on what you are looking for in a canteen service.

Please provide your feedback using this survey link; https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/BV5ZCKM

Education Sub Committee - Policies

The following policies have recently been updated;

Student Attendance Policy

Digital Technologies Policy - under review (see information below)

The Attendance Policy does not require community feedback, and has been passed by school council.

The Digital Technologies Policy however does require feedback from our WPPS community. You are encouraged to read the policy and share any feedback with me (adele.brice@education.vic.gov.au) by Friday 19th August.

The ICT Captains will be reviewing the ICT Consequences which accompanies the policy - once this has happened, they will be also shared with the community.

Partnerships Team

For the first time in many years we were able to have a School Fundraiser Night and what a success it was.

There was fantastic support with over 100 members of our community attending, with so many wonderful donations from our WPPS parents and the local community.

Without the support of the following business donations the event would not have been as successful.

  • Hop Hen Brewing
  • Vue On Halcyon
  • Nail Equipment
  • Grilled Chirnside park
  • Bunnings
  • Frankie Gusti candles
  • Heritage golf course
  • St Hubert’s winery
  • Kellybrook winery
  • PSW Uniforms
  • Officeworks
  • Gypsy sage Boutique
  • Grun House Interiors
  • Mayuraya Hair
  • The Naturelist for the Glass Butterfly
  • Ryan Smith’s office
  • Bertocchi - Renee Van Beelen
  • Spikeball Australia
  • Hot Air Balloon - Sarah Maes from Eastland

Despite the Trivia finishing earlier than expected, it was great to see everyone mingling for several hours after the not so serious trivia had finished.

Thanks to WPPS community for your continued support.
