Year 3 visit to the Heritage Centre
Last week, the Year 3 students took part in a Reflection Day in preparation for the Sacrament of the First Holy Communion. The students were upmost reverent and participated fully in the day. It was a beautiful experience to share with all the students, as they were able to learn more about St Mary of the Cross and also spend time reflecting on their own faith and the importance of the Eucharist.
We keep all those students who are making their First Holy Communion in our prayers and thoughts, as they take the next step in their faith journey this Sunday.
Assembly Awards
Well done to all students who received an award this week. Keep up the hard work and the positive attitude towards learning.

Year 5/6 Camp - Forest Edge
The Year 5/6 students attended the Forest Edge camp on Tuesday 6th August - Friday 9th August. They had a wonderful experience and enjoyed many activities, such as: flying fox, crate climbing, low ropes, bush walking, hut building, camp cooking, mountain boarding and a variety of other 'super' fun activities. The theme of the camp was Courage and we celebrated this through our Liturgy and the students involvement in all aspects of the camp. They also reflected how they incorporated Courage whilst at camp and how they experienced God and felt God's presence. Thank you to all the staff and students that made the camp experience joyful and memorable.
