Maths Olympiad

On Wednesday 22nd May, the first Maths Olympiad test was conducted. Our students had 30 minutes to attempt five challenging problems. In the practice sessions leading up to the first Olympiad, the focus was on developing the students' mathematical strategies and problem-solving capabilities.

It was really pleasing to see the students implement some of these strategies in the test. The Maths Olympiad is another way in which we are developing the capacity of our students in Numeracy via a deliberate focus on talking about and sharing strategies, developing reasoning & problem-solving skills and celebrating success.

Further updates on the progress of the Maths Olympiad team will be communicated in future newsletters.
