Principal News

Education Week

Thank you to the parents/family members who came along to school this week to talk to the children about their careers.  There was a wide spread of careers represented in dress up day, with children dressing up as principals, teachers, nurses, lawyers, marine biologists, paleontologists, cruise directors and many others.  Thank you to all the families for helping their children with their very creative costumes.

The grade 5 and 6 students were lucky to have the Mayor of Hobson's Bay, Cr Jonathon Marsden take time out of his busy schedule to talk about his job and the role of local government.

Dogs on School Grounds

We have noticed an increase in the numbers of dogs coming into the school.  We ask that all dogs must be on a leash and under the control of an adult at all times.  Please make sure that the children keep a safe distance from the dog to avoid frightening it and please make sure you clean up after your dog both inside the school grounds and outside the gates.

Camps Sports & Excursion Fund - (CSEF)

The Camps, Sports & Excursion Fund will provide $125 per year per eligible student to attend camps, sports and excursions during the year.  Families holding a valid concession card are eligible to apply.  If you have a Health Care Card/Pension Card please give Jenny in the office a copy.  Applications close on the 28th June, 2019.

Excursion Bags

The uniform shop has Excursion Bags for sale for $5 each.  These are light weight and great for students to put their lunch and a jacket in when on an excursion.  

Student Lunches

Recently we have had a large amount of students without lunch.  Please make sure that your child has packed their lunch into their bag each day.

Woolworths Earn & Learn  -  (1st May - 25th June)

Once again we are participating in the Woolworths earn & learn program.  If you shop at Woolworths please collect the stickers, place them on the sticker sheet and place in the boxes provided in the school office foyer.  The more completed sticker sheets we have, the more free equipment we'll be able to receive for our students.  Sticker sheets are available at the office.

Playground News

Thank you to everyone who gave feedback on the playground designs.  We have taken the popular elements from each one and come up with a final design.  We anticipate that the playground will be completed by the end of August.
