Dear Families,

The day the Premier of South Australia visited our school 

It was not a typical Monday morning! 

Yesterday, Monday 5th June, we hosted a pre state budget announcement relating to increased funding for Breakfast programs in schools.  The Premier, Peter Malinauskas, Treasurer, Stephen Mullighan MP and Minister for Education, Training and Skills, Blair Boyer MP attended our school with Nadia Clancy, Local member for Elder, the CEO from Kickstart, Ian Steel, representatives from Foodbank and from the Education Department. As you would appreciate, an announcement of this type attracts a lot of media attention!! As you can see from the image below, there were many cameras and journalists here to film and record the event. 

As some of you may have seen, the story was reported on the evening TV news programs last night. The Minister, Blair Boyer impressed everyone with his over the head basketball shot that even featured on Channel10's The Project. 

We appreciated the opportunity to host this event and promote our wonderful school. 

We have been supported by Kickstart to run our breakfast program for the last 4 years and look forward to our program and this relationship continuing to grow into the future.
