Message from the Principal

St Anthony’s Parish and St Anthony’s School hold the care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people as central and fundamental responsibilities of the Church.

St Anthony’s is fully compliant with all policies in relation to Child Safety. These documents ensure compliance with the Victorian Government Child Safety Standards which took effect on 1 January 2017 and reflect our Parish's ongoing commitment to ensuring that all children are safe, happy and empowered.

Dear Families and Friends,

Term Two has gone quickly. Together as a community we have achieved great things, come together for special celebrations and ensured that everyone has flourished.

Opening and Blessing

Together we celebrated the Opening and Blessing of our refurbished Administration Building. We were very honoured to have Bishop Tony lead our celebration. Our school leaders and choir did an amazing job presenting and signing for our guests.

St Anthony's Day

On Tuesday 13th June, St Anthony's Feast Day we celebrated Mass as a whole school and we were joined by many members of our St Anthony's parish Community. It was a beautiful Mass and a wonderful way to start our celebrations.

On Friday 16th June we celebrated as a school through participating in many activities that helped us learn more about St Anthony. Activities included role playing significant moments from St Anthony's life, baking and sharing bread, a St Anthony's treasure hunt and to finish the afternoon we joined in a Colour Disco.

Student Led Three Way Conversations

This week we held our 3 Way Conversations during which students, teachers and parents joined together to share a conversation about student learning. Students shared learning goals, successes and their achievements.

Interschool sports

This term Year 5/6 students have participated in Winter School Sports. Sports have included tag rugby, AFL footy, netball soccer and rookie rollers a type of bowling

Our AFL, tag rugby and netball teams all made it to finals and proudly represented our school.

Matilda Jr - Save the Date

Next term our students will be performing Matilda Jr in our Parish Hall.  On Thursday the 31st August we will have a matinee and evening performance. More information including times and ticket sales will be shared with families very soon.

High Expectations

Our school leaders successfully ran a fundraiser to raise money for our new St Anthony's High Expectations board. This BIG black board located in the quad is going to display our weekly High Expectations so that all students, staff and families will be aware of our focus each week. This will enable us to work together to ensure that everyone is following each expectation.
