Writing

In Writing we will be recording a sentence with rhyming words and illustrating a matching picture. For example ‘A dog sat on a log.’ These sentences were inspired by the Oi Dog text and the many other books in the series.

Wellbeing

In Wellbeing we will be discussing what being kind looks like and what being brave looks like. Children will share stories of a time they were kind and brave.

Inquiry

Students will be exploring the environment and labelling animal body parts. We will be discussing the changing seasons and how butterflies evolve. We will be painting some beautiful, colourful butterflies.

Reminders

We have begun to send home take home books. Your child will have one decodable book (often a paper copy) which they can read to you as they have learnt all the sounds featured in the book. Their other book will be a predictable text that you can read to your child to encourage the love of reading. They may even like to copy the way you read it fluently!

Junior Sports Day

The children came dressed in their team colours and were very excited to participate in races and games. It was a very energetic and colourful day!

Year 5 Report Presentations

The Prep children were thrilled to listen to the Year 5’s interesting presentations. It was great to see how attentive and engaged the Preps were and how confident the Year 5s were at presenting their report!

Bad Hair Day

We LOVED seeing the children's Bad Hair on Friday. They enjoyed drawing their terrible hairstyles and describing them. The Preps were the talk of the school!
