Mums’ Night Wrap-up

Thank you to the 40 or so mums who braved the wintery weather and attended our recent Mums’ Night at The Social Bar (Croydon Hotel). We had a fantastic night chatting and getting to know one another without our little people around! 

Cheer Toastie Truck Wrap-up 

Thank you to everyone who supported our Cheer Toastie fundraiser on Spirit Day. We sold nearly 400 sandwiches and raised $1,116. This year, each lunch pack contained a delicious cookie made by Holy Spirit parent Nat Frazer.

A big thank you also to Nicole Bruges and her team of hard-working helpers who made, cooked and delivered lunch to 400 hungry kids!

Holy Spirit P&F Trivia Night: Only ONE sponsorship spot left!

Time: 7pm for a 7.30pm start

Place: Domeney Recreation Centre (Park Orchards)

Cost: $25 per head

If you have less than 10 in your group, please email pandf@hsringwoodnth.catholic.edu.au and we will do our best to combine you with another small group. Details to purchase tickets will be posted on Class Dojo in the coming weeks. This will be a great event with trivia, games, and a silent auction.

** Please note: There will be no food or drink sales on the night. Please bring your own food, beverages (alcoholic or non) and glassware. Please drink responsibly. **

Second-hand uniform shop

Our next second-hand uniform shop session will be 2.50pm-3.20pm Wednesday 7 June in the P&F Room (building across from the church). We are gratefully accepting donations in good, clean condition; these can be dropped off during the session or left in the red wheelie bin outside the door. Please note; we are no longer accepting donations of second-hand white short-sleeve and long sleeve tops.

We have BRAND NEW white short-sleeve and long-sleeve tops available for $10 each or 2 for $15. These can be worn until the start of 2025. We are also discounting our remaining stock of second-hand white tops – now only $1.

Did you know we also sell second-hand school bags? If you have a child starting Prep next year, why not come along and grab a bag to start getting organised for 2024!

Please note: The lost property chest outside the office is currently overflowing with jumpers, jackets etc. Volunteers will be sorting through the items early next week and any unnamed property will be donated to the second-hand uniform shop. Please check the lost property for any missing items no later than Monday 5th June.

Q: I love this school – there is always something fun happening for the kids. But it’s A LOT to remember! Is there a central place where I can find information about upcoming events?

A: We agree, there is a lot going on at Holy Spirit; which is fantastic! All upcoming events (including P&F events) are published on the school calendar (you can find this under Current Parents on the school website). Reminders are always sent via Class Dojo, which is the school’s primary communication channel. 

In addition, the P&F runs a closed Facebook group for current school parents. The Facebook page is a useful place to ask questions of fellow parents and find helpful reminders about upcoming school activities. Please answer the required membership questions so that we can confirm your identity before granting you entry into the group.
