Principal's Report

Report from our Principal: Duncan Arendse

Dear Parents, Friends and Father Arsenio,

I am pleased to announce that we will be running STEM until the end of the year. I have sought an exemption from teaching LOTE this year and Danielle has agreed to stay on. I appreciate her work in this space and judging by feedback so do our students.

Illness continues to linger at school. Please don't send your child to school at the moment if they are sick. We have an average of 20% of our student cohort away each day this week and 6 teaching staff were away as well. I am struggling to find emergency teachers so anything you can do at the moment is appreciated.

Our year 6 students celebrated the sacrament of Confirmation at St Patrick's Cathedral last week. It was wonderful to celebrate this with them and I appreciate the efforts of Marianne and our 5/6 team who assisted in this.

It was also enjoyable to celebrate our school's feast day last week. Kayla had been planning this for several months and unfortunately was unable to attend. Between Mass, a 'toastie' lunch and some great activities our students enjoyed themselves as well.

Please remember that the P&F are organising a trivia Night on Saturday June 24th. Watch out for further information. (I have it on good authority the staff table is confident of victory)

Have a great week

Duncan
