Auslan News

Grade Preps have been practising their signs for Farm Animals and completing their mini books with Farm Animals to sign. The Preps will take their mini books home next week and will be able to sign the animals in their books with you! They may even be able to teach you some Auslan signs in the song: "Old MacDonald Had a Farm!"

Grades 1-6 have continued learning about Deaf Culture within the deaf community. Students have finished creating their posters to educate our school community about different behaviours and attitudes in the deaf community and the way that deaf people might interact with one another or hearing people. I am impressed with the effort and the information that students have been able to include in their posters!

Two posters from each class will be chosen for display around the school!

Grades 1-6 students have also joined in a class Kahoot! quiz this week all about Deaf Culture and have enjoyed racing each other to climb up the leader board!
