INSPIRING CURIOUS MINDS

What a wonderful fortnight it has been, so many positive community-building activities – we are so proud of the way the whole school pulls together to create such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The Walkathon was a rip roaring success, sponsorship money is still flowing in, we can’t wait to see if we can top last year’s!! Thank you for those who have provided some feedback on how we can make next year’s even better!

Thank you to our 61 families who completed the Wellbeing and Inclusion survey, it was wonderful to see so many folks sharing their voices and ideas. I will reach out to different respondents over the next few weeks with details on the events coming up that were specific to interested parties. Very exciting to have 11 families express an interest in the Different Not Less group and so many hands up to volunteer to support creating resources!

We had some great feedback and responses around inclusion in all its forms and I will be looking with our Wellbeing Subcommittee at how the suggestions can be incorporated. Here’s a few resources around what inclusion and inclusive education can mean and how to talk about it from a child perspective.

For children: The Present – great video to spark a discussion & Wonder – great novel for older students

Looking forward to updating you all in the next newsletter about a project in the works for bringing the Inclusion conversation into the Term 4 Art Show!
