Mid-Autumn Moon Festival Celebration

This year’s Lunar Moon Festival fell on Saturday 10 September.  On this day, many Asian countries celebrate the full moon with family get-togethers; eating banquet and moon cakes.  Full moon means wholesome among many Asian communities.  When all family members are united and together, it means the families are complete.

Almost all our international students at WHSC are studying in Australia alone, or with only one parent/guardian.  So at this time of the year, they would be missing home and family members the most. To acknowledge this and make our international students feel welcomed and more at home, WHSC organised a banquet lunch for our current international students studying at our school.

The principal, Ms. Brisbane and a few teachers working closely with our ISP students were invited to celebrate this festival with our international students.  Special Moon cakes were shared following the lunch.

Thank you to all who attended and especially to staff involved in organising this special celebration.
