Good news - inside and outside the classroom

Kylie Wealands - a special cause

As you may know, my 11 year old daughter, Georgia, and I have Type 1 diabetes - it is my 27th dianniversary today! 🎈For the past two years, our family have completed the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) walking challenge in October to raise much needed funds into research for treatments and a cure. In the short time Georgia has had diabetes, the advancements in technology have been amazing and I am cautiously optimistic that there may even be a cure in her lifetime.

So this year, I am hoping some of my colleagues will join our team in walking 125kms throughout the month of October (we can increase this distance if we meet it quickly) and raising money. If you would like to join our team or simply donate, please click on this link: https://walk.jdrf.org.au/fundraisers/teamkellands

Thank you!

Team Kellands (Kylie, Damien, Georgia & Emma - plus Bonnie who does a fair few of the kms).
