From Mandy O'Mara

Dear Parents and Carers,

What a busy week it has been at Epping Views Primary School. On Tuesday we celebrated Book Week with a wonderful book parade. It was fantastic to see the wonderfully creative costumes and to see our parents back on site after such a long break. The Grade 5 campers have enjoyed a cold but fun week at the camp participating in a variety of new experiences.

We will be hosting our first coffee and chat on Monday morning. Please be advised you must RSVP via email if you are wanting to attend. At this first meeting we will discuss possible topics for coffee mornings moving forward.

The last day of Term 3 will be a Curriculum Day. Please be advised that students will finish on Thursday 15 September.

If you were 1 of the 330 parents randomly selected to participate in a Parent Opinion survey please ensure you complete the survey ASAP. Your opinions are valued and help us to shape the future of our school.

We are now well and truly in the planning phase for 2023 and as such it is important that we have a true and accurate indication of our student numbers for next year.  If you have neighbours or friends looking to enrol a student in 2023 please encourage them to contact us ASAP to organise enrolment forms. We currently have 60 Prep students enrolled for next year. We are beginning to process those enrolments and organise groupings and staffing. Enrolled students will be receiving correspondence from us in relation to orientation days and information sessions. If you have a child starting Prep next year please ensure you submit your enrolment forms ASAP so that you do not miss out on important correspondence.

If you are one of our existing families and relocating at the end of the year or leaving us for other reasons, please let us know as soon as possible.

Class list creation for 2023 will be one of the foci of our term four meetings. If you have requests re groupings please make sure you submit them in writing to the school in the first week of next term. Classroom teachers spend many hours creating new classes. It is important to recognise that many factors are taken into account when these classes are being created; they might include academic levels of students, friendship groupings, friendship issues and teacher judgements. All requests will be considered but not guaranteed.

Kind regards,

Mandy O’Mara

Acting Principal.
