Level 2
Level 2 has continued to explore the different features of dinosaurs. Students researched different dinosaur skeletons and then recreated the skeletons using pasta. Most classes have now completed their diorama of dinosaurs’ habitats and their amazing creations have been sent home.
The Father’s Day stall was a success and the students all really enjoyed writing letters and cards to celebrate!
In Mathematics we have been exploring area and perimeter. Students drew a ‘Minecraft’ self portrait and then using the picture they were able to work out the area and perimeter of different features such as hair and eyes.
This week we had the pleasure of watching the show ‘Saving Lil and Archie’ as part of the National eSmart Week. This was a highly engaging production and students learnt about different strategies to staff safe online.
We also celebrated Indigenous Literacy Day on Wednesday 7th September. It was so fantastic to see so many students take part in the book swap day and we should all be proud of the money we’ve been able to help raise to support for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation.
