Year 8 

STEM Excursion

Year 8 STEM students had the opportunity to attend the Banyule Nillumbik Technical School for a day to learn about designing an app for a phone or laptop and about how to use a micro drone.  

The morning was spent using a special program to make an app of the students’ choice, which were  then shared with the group. 

The afternoon was all about drones,  and students were hands-on again, learning to fly and manipulate a mini drone.  

All the students were fully engaged in both activities and really enjoyed the day.
