National Reconciliation Week - 2023

Be A Voice For Generations

National Reconciliation Week ran from 27th May to 3rd June this year. As always, it is a time for us all as Australians to reflect on our shared histories, culture, and connection to Australia.

During this week, year 7, 8 and 9 students developed their understanding of the Timeline of Trauma and Healing occurring in Australia for our indigenous peoples, during their Connect classes. The students made Sorry Day flowers which are now on display in the library.

On Thursday 25th May Tess Diaz, Mel and Nick from Wellbeing ran an art activity during lunchtime and invited everyone at school to fingerpaint their hand and press it onto some fabric. We have a lovely colourful art piece that will be displayed in the wellbeing hub.
